REPTON SCHOOL
400 HALL INSTALLATION

THE BRIEF

Hawthorn were selected by Wildgoose Construction to work to a specification devised by theatre and audio consultancy Charcoalblue, to provide stage lighting, audio visual equipment, drapes and a flying system in The 400 Hall – the impressive theatre at Repton School.

THE EXECUTION

Hawthorn provided full project management for the installation, including the production of shop drawings, site attendance and training. Our remit was to provide the full audio visual and stage lighting installation within the hall, as well as the testing and commissioning of all equipment. This installation included the supply of specialist cable and all wiring, including termination to racks, outlet boxes and the paging system.

We also installed a full flying system, comprised of winches, ladder bars and hemp flying equipment, as well as the projection screen infrastructure and projection screen. Utilising the skills of our in-house drapes team, we custom-made the drapes and installed a perimeter track, and provided loose equipment such as working at height equipment and loading and procedural notices. We continue to provide services for Repton School, above and beyond the maintenance of this equipment.

OUR CLIENT SAID

"Our fantastic performance space is a major asset to the school and that is thanks in no small part to the technical expertise and advice provided by Hawthorn, from start to finish. Hawthorn continue to provide us with great service, time and time again, from the installation itself to the smallest request for support."
