560 store managers, buyers, support staff and suppliers descended on EventCity, Manchester in September for the B&M Golden Quarter Conference 2017. 

Now in its second year, the two-day event, which includes a conference, exhibition and a gala dinner, aims to inspire staff to reach ‘another level’ during their busiest quarter of the year. 

We were tasked to deliver full technical production for the main conference room and the gala dinner as well as providing all rigging and draping elements in the exhibition space


With a Bavarian inspired gala dinner, a slick conference and a Candy Land themed exhibition, the B&M Golden Quarter Conference returned to EventCity for another year in spectacular style. We worked closely with the B&M events team from concept to delivery to bring their exciting vision to life, providing lighting, video, sound, drapes, rigging and effects.

To ensure we created the perfect B&M brand experience for the conference sessions, we crafted a striking lighting design that incorporated the company’s iconic orange and blue colours whilst providing dynamics and drama through the show. Video content for the sessions was played out using a large 10m x 3m screen, ensuring audience members had an excellent view.  To add extra pizzazz to two large reveals, one being the unveiling of the vast exhibition space behind the stage, we provided a range of exciting effects including confetti cannons and pyrotechnics.

To ensure B&M’s brand ran through the entire event, the orange and blue lighting design was revived for the gala dinner. To add extra glitz and glamour to the evening, we used a selection of the latest lighting fixtures to add big beam effects, animation and powerful colour washes. With the evening featuring an award ceremony as well as entertainment from Bongo’s Bingo, we also provided two large video screens to ensure even those seated at the back had a fabulous view of the action on stage.
