FIRST & THIRD TRINITY BOAT CLUB MAY BALL 2018
UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE
Dating back to 1866, the First and Third Trinity Boat Club May Ball is a long-standing tradition for those studying at Trinity College, one of the many prestigious colleges that make up the University of Cambridge.
We once again provided full technical production for the most esteemed evening of the May Ball Week, providing lighting, sound, staging, video, rigging and power distribution for the all-night event.
Renowned for it’s classic elegance and timeless glamour, we provided striking architectural lighting to the Trinity May Ball bring the stunning College buildings to life, enhancing the intricate archways and sculptures that surround the courts.
With the many temporary structures around the grounds hosting an eclectic range of entertainment, we created a variety of lighting designs to suit the various moods of each area. From the warm glow of the ornate Pavilion Tent to the luxurious Jazz Tent decked out with festoon, we ensured every area provided an exceptional guest experience.
With top class entertainment taking to the stage in the Big Top, including Raye, we created a spectacular lighting design full of dramatic effects for the main stage. A large LED screen provided a vibrant backdrop whilst the addition of a thrust stage and circular truss structure this year added a unusual twist on the stage set-up.
